As our face ages, we begin to develop wrinkles around our mouth, tissue around the jawline sags and our neck contour becomes distorted. A facelift is a surgical procedure designed to elevate the facial tissues to a more youthful position thus correcting the wrinkles and sagging tissue around the mouth, cheeks and jawline. This procedure is performed though incisions place around the ears and into the hairline. A neck lift may be combined with a facelift to address the neck contour.
