As we age, tissue around our eyelids becomes more lax while fat around the eye protrudes forward creating the look of being tired. A blepharoplasty is a procedure performed on the upper or lower eyelids to remove excess skin and fat. This procedure is designed to rejuvenate the eyes to project a more youthful rested look. A blepharoplasty is often performed in combination with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as a facelift and forehead lift.
