Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is a surgical procedure which uses a rough or coarse spinning wheel to mechanically remove layers of skin. Dermabrasion may help to soften facial scars by contouring the scar to make it less noticeable. The procedure is performed under anesthesia, a laser-seal™ occlusive dressing is applied for your comfort. Skin tone may lighten after the procedure, in some cases the procedure may need to be repeated to achieve the desired results. Individuals must avoid direct UV exposure following the procedure.
