Breast Lift

As a woman ages her breast tissue decreases in volume and the breast skin gradually sags. A breast lift or mastopexy is a surgical procedure designed to reshape the breast and move the nipple into a more youthful anatomic position. The procedure requires incisions around the nipple and often in the inframammary fold. If an individual has significant breast volume loss, a breast implant may be placed to restore lost volume and enhance the breast shape. The procedure is performed in an outpatient facility.
